Along the way we have had many heartaches and trials trying to adopt and/or conceive. We have always known we were supposed to have children, so when we got the news, it was devasting. Through a crazy process, my husband and I were in the middle of becoming foster parents. April of '05, Boone Co. DHHR met with us and asked us if we would consider taking a special needs child, that just needed a place to die. Our first response was no, but then decided to go home and pray about it. After much prayer and tears...we knew that the Lord wanted us to help this baby. Brady was our foster child from April 05 to December 2008, then we were FINALLY able to adopt him. He is our heart. I am thankful that God put Brady into our lives, we have learned so much through him. He not only is a live/vibrant boy, he is walking and doing many things the dr's said he never would. He is diagnosed with Spina Bifida, club feet, transposition of the greater vessles, arnold chiari malformation, fetal alcohal syndrome, hydrocyphalus, EE, asthma and many allergies! Life is good, complicated, stressful and great all at the same time! My story is long, this is a short version. We have another adopted son, Nelson that is a "normal" child, that is 6 months younger than Brady. People thought we were nuts, but it's working out well! We have 2 boys on earth and 2 biological children playing in heaven. We are excited to see what lies around the next corner of our lives!
